WorkWave is a leading provider of cloud-based software that supports every stage of a service business's life cycle—from lead management and CRM to scheduling, routing, field operations, and payment facilitation. Our core platforms (PestPac, RealGreen, WinTeam, and TimeGate) serve pest control, lawn and landscape, security, and commercial cleaning companies, from multi-billion-dollar enterprises to the smallest upstart seeking an edge
About the Role
At WorkWave, we treat quality as an engineering discipline, not an inspection checklist. The AI Quality Governance Engineer (QGE) combines technical automation development with high-impact quality governance:
Engineering: Build scalable automated systems. Write clean test code, set up CI/CD quality gates, and create AI utilities (test skeleton generators, risk-scoring models, auto-triage pipelines).
Governance: Define "Done" across internal and vendor teams (such as Virtusa), enforce release standards, and track metrics that reflect actual system health (Change Failure Rate, Defect Escape Rate).
Day-One AI Fluency: AI is integrated directly into daily work. You will use AI pair-programming tools to draft tests and automation scripts, applying engineering judgment to ensure full coverage and edge-case validation.
Candidate Profile
Technical & AI Skills (Must Have)
3+ years in software quality engineering with a focus on automation.
Working proficiency in at least one modern language: TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Python, or Java (.NET/C# or TypeScript preferred).
Hands-on experience with modern test frameworks (Playwright, Selenium, or RestAssured for APIs).
Experience reading and configuring GitHub Actions YAML workflows.
AI-First Mindset: Daily experience using tools like Claude or GitHub Copilot to accelerate test writing, with the critical judgment to detect thin coverage or hallucinations before committing to source control.
Working knowledge of DORA quality metrics (Change Failure Rate, MTTR, Escape Rate).
Compensation: Gross Annual Salary (RAL): €38,000 – €48,000 (paid over 13 monthly installments under the applicable Italian CCNL).
Pay Transparency: In line with EU Directive 2023/970, compensation is determined using objective, gender-neutral criteria based on candidate experience, automation capabilities, and technical qualifications.
Benefits: Full statutory contributions (INPS, INAIL), TFR severance accrual, supplemental healthcare (*PMI Salute *), and smart-working allowances.
Equal Opportunity & Non-Discrimination Statement
WorkWave is an equal opportunity employer and evaluates applications without discrimination, in compliance with Italian law (Legislative Decrees 198/2006, 215/2003 and 216/2003).
