AI-Driven Strategic Capacity Planning: From Data and Semantic Readiness to Intelligent Decision Support

The objective is to investigate how Strategic Capacity Planning data and semantic knowledge can be transformed into an effective AI-based decision-support capability. The student will first assess the available data, semantic model, and candidate use cases. Based on this analysis, the most promising AI use case will be selected and formulated as a concrete research problem. The student will subsequently design, implement, and evaluate an appropriate AI solution using real-world semiconductor planning data. Rather than treating AI readiness assessment and AI development as separate activities, the project investigates the complete pathway from data and domain knowledge to an experimentally validated AI solution.
